Pasta with Zucchini and Tomatoes

1 package 375g macaroni-type pasta (penne, Rotini or elbow)
1 each onion and garlic clove, finely chopped
1 zucchini, sliced
¼ cup (60 mL) olive oil
12 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
2 tbsp (30 mL) chopped fresh parsley or basil
  salt and freshly ground pepper (to taste)
  grated parmesan cheese (to taste)
  1. Cook pasta according to package directions
  2. Saute onion, garlic and zucchini in oil until tender
  3. Add tomatoes and parsley; heat through
  4. Season to taste with salt and pepper
  5. Toss pasta with vegetable mixture and serve topped with cheese
